UiTM Men's and Women's Futsal Teams continued their dominance of IPT futsal by clinching the Central-South Zone, Kejohanan Futsal IPT 2012 (Circuit 2) which was held in Ferro Futsal, Subang from 26 to 29 April 2012.

The UiTM Women's team defeated Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) 4 - 2 in the final while the Men's final saw a pulsating match between the finalists from the Grand Finale last year, UiTM and Kolej Komuniti Selangor (KK Selangor).

With UiTM missing several regulars such as Ali Mahat, Ahmad Fawzul and Khairul Effendy through injuries and international duties and KK Selangor entering the tournament this year with several strong names bolstering their squad, KK Selangor was keen to avenge their defeat to the current champions this time around.

And indeed it was hard work for UiTM as for the first time in two years UiTM did not win a game in full time as the game was tied at 2- 2 and went to extratime. However KK Selangor conceded a penalty in extratime which was duly converted and UiTM later scored against a KK Selangor powerplay to win the final 4 - 2.

UiTM's new player, Muhamad Afif Asyraf Mohamad Zabawi proved an able replacement for the missing big names in the squad by giving a stellar performance throughout this circuit which earned him The Circuit's Best Player (Pemain Terbaik Sirkit) and the coveted Kelme Best Player Jersey sponsored by Futsalworks.

The third place in the women's category went to Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) while UM Tech defeated Malaysian Multimedia University (MMU) to secure third spot in the men's category.

14 teams participated in the men's category and 8 teams participated in the women's category for this circuit. Kejohanan Futsal IPT 2012 will now move to Terengganu for the East Zone in May 2012.
